Overview

Long-running actions such as framework updates, bench deployment, repair, backup, and storage operations run as Operator Console jobs. The job viewer records the action, status, timestamps, initiating user, and output.

View a job

  1. Open Jobs in the Operator Console.
  2. Select a queued, running, completed, or failed job.
  3. Review the job details, including Run by.
  4. For a running job, keep the viewer open to receive live output.
  5. Expand the output area to inspect command progress and diagnostic messages.

The output is streamed from the job log while the job is active. It may continue to grow after the dialog opens.

Understand statuses

  • Queued: accepted and waiting for the job runner.
  • Running: the action is currently executing.
  • Done: the action completed; review the return code and final output.
  • Failed: the action stopped with an error or refusal.
  • Cancelled: the action was stopped before completion.

Troubleshooting

Output appears unchanged

Wait for the next polling update, then reopen or refresh the job details. A job can be running while a platform command is waiting on a package manager, container, or storage operation.

A job failed

Read the final output first. The initiating user and job ID are useful when correlating the event with an audit log or support bundle.
