Start the wizard
On the first visit to a new LGF host, the setup wizard walks through UI mode, license, domain setup, networking, host name, administrator passwords, and review. Complete the steps in order, or use the step navigation to return to an earlier choice.

Choose the interface mode
Simple UI is the appliance-style experience for common home-lab and small-host tasks. Advanced UI exposes the full operator console, settings, deployment surface, and larger bench limits. Choose Advanced UI when the host will be administered as a full framework appliance.

License and domain
Enter the license key when one is available. Then choose the directory deployment mode:
- Create a new internal-only domain.
- Join an existing domain and promote this host to a domain controller.
- Join an existing domain as a member.
For an existing domain, provide the domain administrator credentials, the AD DNS domain, and the domain controller IP address when default DNS cannot locate the controller. A domain join inherits the existing default LGF groups and RBAC mappings.
Networking and host identity
Set the host name and confirm the network address, DNS, gateway, and time settings. Domain services and Kerberos are sensitive to clock skew and incorrect DNS, so resolve those issues before continuing.

Review and finish
Review every value before applying the configuration. The wizard may enable Samba AD, DNS, firewall rules, host authentication, and LAN Domain Services depending on the selected mode.

After setup completes, sign in with the administrator credentials you configured. The status cards should report a provisioned domain, healthy internal services, and enabled LAN services when network domain access was selected.
