Group Policy in LGF

Group Policy Objects (GPOs) let operators apply consistent Windows settings to domain users and computers. Use the Domain section to review the policy surface and keep framework defaults separate from local workstation policy.

Group Policy settings

Apply policy changes deliberately. Test a policy with a small group or organizational unit before applying it broadly, especially when it affects logon, network access, or security settings.

Operational guidance

  • Keep a record of why each policy exists.
  • Avoid changing framework-owned defaults unless the operational requirement is understood.
  • Confirm that clients can resolve the domain and reach the domain controller before diagnosing policy refresh failures.
  • Use the domain's normal user and group mappings for access control rather than duplicating identities locally.
