Overview
LGF can apply an optional total CPU budget and memory budget to a bench using Docker Compose resource controls. These limits are framework-owned and apply to the bench as a whole.
Blank fields preserve the current default behavior. A value is only applied when an operator explicitly enters it.
Configure limits
- Open New Bench or edit the bench's deployment options.
- Expand Advanced options.
- Enter a total CPU allocation in cores, such as
2. - Enter a Memory allocation, such as
4G. - Deploy or apply the change.
LGF validates explicit budgets before rendering Compose. CPU and memory allocations must leave at least five percent of the host's capacity available for system processes. Process-count limits are not currently part of this control.
Verification
Use Bench Details and inspect the rendered configuration or run a normal operational verification. The resource override is stored with the bench state and regenerated during framework-controlled updates.
Troubleshooting
The requested value is refused
The value may exceed the host capacity after the five-percent reserve, use an invalid unit, or be too small for the platform. Correct the value and retry.
Limits disappeared after an update
Check that the values were saved in the bench's advanced options. Framework updates preserve explicit resource requests; blank requests intentionally retain default runtime behavior.
