Before you begin

Download the current LGF ISO and its matching checksum from the release location provided with your release announcement. Verify the checksum before writing the image to a USB device or attaching it to a virtual machine.

The appliance should have a supported EL9-compatible system, a stable hostname plan, enough local storage for the framework, and a network connection that will remain available during setup.

Install the operating system

  1. Boot the host from the LGF installation media.
  2. Choose the LGF installation entry and wait for the installer to discover the target hardware.
  3. Select the intended installation disk. Confirm that the disk does not contain data you need to keep.
  4. Set the system time zone and initial network settings.
  5. Review the installation summary and start the installation.
  6. Reboot from the installed disk when the installer completes.

Installer discovery

The installation media creates the appliance base system. Domain identity, operator access, and framework services are completed in the first-time setup wizard after reboot.

After reboot

Find the host on the network, open the displayed Operator Console address, and complete the setup wizard. If the console is not reachable, verify the host address, firewall path, and that the operator-console service is active.
